Still Kicking

i know i cant spell... thats why i work on routers i only need to know the first few letters...

well you may have noticed that i have not updated this blog thing for a while.. oops..
to be honest i dont really see much use to posting info about my life on line. seems a lot like bragging to me.. im not really in to that.except for my kids ( after all they are the most behaved and well mannerd kids in the fam) im going to get in trouble for that one... o well... i have had a few people request that i add some thing on here about what we as a family have been up to lately. so here goes.. i will try to keep adding things ever now and then. But no promises

... since 2007 we moved from our old house down by the mall here in town, to our new house a few blocks behind the timp hospital. it has 5 bed rooms 3 bath and a ton of room i think just under 3000 sq feet. with a big old yard..

jen has been having fun picking out colors to paint the rooms and making a list of things for me to fix/update. of course i spend most of my time working on different things throught out the house. i have had to replace most of the sprinkler system due to the last owner having no clue on how to fix things... the neighboor tell us that the dont rememer them ever watering the yard. in fact we have had several of the neighbors stop by while i am out working in the yard tell us how much the like what we have done with the house and yard. they were afraid we would be like the last owners.. in fact some of them are now comming over and asking me how i did this or that. i have even been working with a few neighbors on fixing up there yards. some people call me crazy but i like to do stuff with my hands. i feel that our yard and house reflect on what type of family we are. if you dont care for your stuff you dont care for your family i would say.

so any ways are kids love school. traci is doing well and is reading at a 6th grade level. the teachers always ask what we do.. i guess its just the time we spend with her and the other kids. she has gone through most of the "fairy" books and the tree house ones. jen takes them to the libary a few times a month... traci wants to go more because she reads all the books she gets with in the first few days of having the books. ususally 10 to 15 chapter books or sicence ones.. she loves outer space, rock and any thing to do with dino's. she seems to be the center of her neighboor hood friends. she is doing great with the boys as well. as a father it kills me to say that.. im so scared of when she get older. shes going to cause a lot of boys problems... shoot me!

Natalie is working hard at preschool this year she fun to talk to after i get home from work. she loves going to school and sharing all about what she learned. they go over all kinds of stuff. its suprising how much she knows at such a young age. she almost got the hand writing thing down.. the only problem is that she gets bored like i did in school and wants to move on to the next thing. :) she is so sweet and kind to everone. her sister emily like to try and push her buttons. its funny to watch how she deals with it. im amazed how well she helps emily understand how to be nice and share. of course it doesnt work all the time.

emily is emily what can i say she is one of a kind. my mom keeps telling me that she is just like me as a child. i dont know i think she is much prettier. she is talking up a storm and let you know when she doesnt understand what your talking about. it really make you stop and think about how much she understands. i guess its more scarry how much she understands. her and the dog are the best of friends. they follow each other around the house. emily gets a bowl of cereal and walks around with buddy following her every stept. need less to say buddy eats well. she is going to start preschool in aug... thats scarry to think about, wow im getting old.

Jen is more beautiful then ever! im still amazed that she loves me. its still so wierd to me.. ok enough of my mushy stuff...
jen is prego again ( i DID THAT), and yes its another girl! lol i get teasted all the time at work about having 4 girls... seems im not able to produce a boy.. lol . Jen Is doing alot better with this kid shes not throwing as much. of course the drugs help. in fact she went to the gym this morning. (crazy women)... shes smoking HOTTT! well we are soo excited to have another beautiful girl. jen likes the name Chloe not sure how to spell it though. she is due at the end of may/ begining of june.

as for me im just great well i have been busy doing all kinds of things around the house its fun to teach the girls how to do different thing. traci knows how to adjust our sprinklers by the way. im currently working for ATT doing EVPN router support stuff. but i did find out earlier this month that my job is being out sourced to some place in europe i think its called bratislava no clue were that is... so i have been training my replacement on the other side of the world. but i should be ok. i have been interviewing with a company called NETAPP the do all kinds of cool networking stuff. i sure hope i get the job. they should let me know on friday or early next week. so pray for me to get that job.

im going to put in a bamboo wood floor one of these weekends.. my parents have bought the same type of wood. they want me to put it in there house as well. so that will be fun to do. we also got some new couches.. well sort of. we bought them back at the end of january but they are on back order. so we had to wait awhile we would of had them ,a few weeks ago but when there was the big storm in the paciffic a few weeks ago the ship they were on had alot of the containers tip and damage the goods.

yeah so thats my life i will try and keep this updated better.... i am working on doing a genealogy blog for the otis family as well. i will add a link some time to this.. i have been working on getting a list of all the names in a book about the otis family so far i have about 5000 names...( note each of those names has comments about other family members of 500 times about 4) i have to add them to the new family search, then link them and remove and duplicates.. ect... its taking awhile... if any one wants to help let me know i hve most of the info published on line and i can give you access to edit and update files... its kinda of an addiction. in fact in my ward im kinda of the genealogy go to guy,... lol even though i just figure it out as i go, all the old timers need a little help working on that new "computer" thing... its amazing how cool the new system is..

ok later ya all maybe i will do this again.

traci's first day of school report

Emily is growing up

Hey everyone,
Emily has been growing up pretty quick over the past few weeks. if its throwing up all over traci or having a major diaper blow out it we still cant get enough of her. its weird how it seems that she has always been with our family. i can not imagine not having her in our family. she fits just right. she is learning to roll over throwing herself from one side to the other .. not a lot but enough get us excited. she also loves to smile and giggle. i for got how cute a babys giggle is. she love to watch you make faces at her. she also tries to grab at your face alot ( when you dare to put it close enough)
I will try and get a few videos up and posted here with links to you-tube.

Here is a picture of my Beautiful Traci at the Musuem of Natural History, up at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi.

I'm amazed every day at how beautiful she is. ever day it seems she gets prettier and more Graceful.. I think her greatest strength is how "sweet and soft" she is. She is always looking out for others. She had to grow up much too fast when she was born due to her mom being so sick from the cancer and the 3 major surgerys we had to go through to save jens life as a new little family. She has a very great inner strengh in that respect, much more so then most adults. who fight over such petty things and dont realise the reason we are here, nor the joy we can have in life just being with each other.

I'm scared to see her grow up, I don't think, I will ever be able to let her go out on a date when she get older. she means the world to me as do all my daughter's and my smoking hot wife.

I could'nt stop laughting when I took this picture of our Natalie she is such a sweet heart. She loves to have fun and is always into every thing. My mom says she is just like me as a child always climbing and exploring every thing. I have to say she is just fun to watch too see what's next... if she is like me as a child, I must have been a great kid to have. :)
lol, right mom?
As my dad would says she's our little Tank Comanader.. nothing seems to slow her down. She is a walking bruise alot of the time. We hardly ever see her cry when she falls down. which happens alot as she climbs and explores. She just says " oops" and looks at her new bruise and is off to the next adventure.
we love her curly hair.. its killing us to think about giving her a hair cut.

just another cute pic or two from a proud dad

Thought I would post a few more pics of my kids as they are the cutest things in the world.. of course im not prejudice at all...

This one was after a hard day of playing in the pool in our back yard. I love how natalie is posing.

Here is one of Natalie putting on some of my socks all by herself.. I think she did a pretty good job, dont you?

We were able to get a picture in before heading off to church. the dog was the best one to stay still... for this photo

the dogs name is "Roxie" by the way.. she loves the girls and goes in to thier room every morning to make sure they are ok. Also when they are having a bad dream shes the first one to make sure the girls will be "ok" ususally with a good lick... after pushing her way through the door.

Another one added to the Pod...

hows, it going family?

We just had another beautiful daughter Emily Claire Otis added to our growing family, she was born on the 20th of last month (June) 2007. She was 18.5 inches long and 7.7 pounds. She was born in the orem community Hospital at 6:30p.m..

Jen's sister and husband Ryan were at the hospital. Ryan looked like he was about to pass out a few time's. Every time a nurse came into check jen's blood pressure, Ryan would turn red and run out of the room after a while the nurse would walk in just to tease ryan. Guess he's getting a crash course in having a baby. Jodi was having a good time watching him.. I hope he
dosen't passout when His daughter is born.
My parents were also at the hospital. My dad was more excited about the whole birth than any one else I think, he kept banging on the door asking for update's. It was funny to watch him interact with our kids Traci and Natalie. Natalie was worried about how her mom was. it was very interestering to see her interact with her mom after the whole birth. she was very sweet, and soft i guess you would say.

Its wounderful to have another daughter in our home. jen is doing fine and is doing great, she has already asked me a few times about having more kids.. so i think thats a good sign.
